Believe it or not, learning new variants of poker will help the poker game you play most. Let's look at a couple examples:
- Let's say you like playing No Limit Holdem; if you play some Limit Holdem you will learn quite a bit about pot odds and that will carry over to your No Limit game. Limit let's us peel more cards for sure and who doesn't like making a hand on the river?
- If you're a No Limit Holdem player, play some Omaha Hi poker and you'll learn to quickly spot wraps along with how many outs you have. This knowledge will transition nicely back to your No Limit game.
- Even playing some 7 Card Stud will improve your results in Holdem and Omaha games.
- Playing these variations of poker will give you more confidence at the poker table no matter what game you are playing.
